The Hoxton, Holborn

Nine years after launching its east London flagship, the establishment which likes to brand itself as the ‘anti-hotel’ brings its Shoreditch hipster cachet to the less bohemian environs of Holborn

Indeed, its work facilities (handily termed The Apartment) could be seen as the anti-hotel conference room: no tepid coffee or woeful WiFi connections here. Instead, there’s a firm emphasis on the ‘play’ aspect of meetings, with the six industrial-chic meeting rooms swarming with fun accoutrements such as board games, jars of retro-sweets and doodle-inducing pencils.

Best of all is the break-out Pantry Kitchen, which hosts trendy-spec types raiding its Smeg fridges and has a communal party-space ambience throughout the day. Great if you need to nail that creative brief you’ve been struggling with.
