With the immaculate timing one would expect of one of the UK’s leading luxury horologists, Christopher Ward is issuing a limited-edition Spitfire-inspired watch to coincide with summer’s 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain
The C8 P7350 Chronometer’s design is based on a Spitfire cockpit clock, but the watch uses more than visual cues from the iconic Second World War aircraft – each timepiece takes both its name and a fragment of aluminium alloy Duralumin from the oldest airworthy Spitfire to have flown in the battle, the P7350.
All 75 limited-edition models are set to take to the skies as part of a commemorative Spitfire flypast on 18 June, before winging their way to their owners.
The C8 P7350 is priced at £3,495 and is available from christopherward.co.uk
