The Enterprising Women’s Initiative is an exciting new drive that gives all women business leaders a fantastic opportunity to meet top female experts, learn new skills and network
It’s here: having spent the past three months quizzing women from all corners of the business world – from founders of tiny start-ups to board-level directors and NEDs – and listening closely to their needs, the IoD this month kicks off a new initiative for Britain’s female business leaders.
The Enterprising Women’s Initiative, which aims to celebrate, nurture and inspire, launches this year in the shape of a series of seminars, summits and salons. It promises to offer a tremendous opportunity for attendees to share experiences, develop leadership skills, network with like minds – and mentor the next generation of promising young businesswomen.
Events, which will last throughout the year, include the IoD’s enterprising women seminars, at which businesswomen can learn from female experts on everything from raising finance and mentoring, to writing business plans. Our first one is in April and will be Blogging for Growth, led by Natasha Courtenay-Smith (above), author of the Million Dollar Blog.
There will also be evening salons where inspirational businesswomen will be interviewed about their success; and the Enterprising Women Summit (now in its 10th year) on 16 June, in which top UK businesswomen, including entrepreneur and adventurer Penny Mallory (below), will share their success stories.
