With the goal of being “Europe’s sexiest hotel”, the stylish five-star Hotel Gotham opened its doors in April on Manchester’s fashionable King Street.
While the hotel décor oozes elegant nostalgia, its Honey restaurant has a pleasant contrast of sophistication and serenity, with sixth-floor views gazing across the city skyline.
The kitchen serves up tasty classics from prawn cocktail to “rich man’s fish and chips”, while just contemplating the sheer weight of the impressive drinks menu helped us work up an appetite.
Most intriguing of all, perhaps, are the wall-mounted vintage typewriters placed at head height in the toilets. Well, you never know when inspiration might strike.
