Chiva-Som at the IoD

Free treatments from one of the world’s most famous spa resorts will be available at 116 Pall Mall on 19 May

Chiva-Som is a luxury Thai resort that regularly features in magazine lists of the world’s top spas – enthused about in awestruck tones by the trend-seekers who flock to its palm-fringed island sanctuary. Usually, it’s the likes of Elizabeth Hurley and the Beckhams who get to sample its detox packages and muscle-kneading Thai massages. However, for one day this month – 19 May – Chiva-Som will be setting up at the IoD’s 116 Pall Mall premises.

The Chiva-Som pop-up will offer IoD members free 30-minute sessions, featuring treatment plans designed with the stressed and ergonomically troubled office worker in mind. Directors feeling the strain from RSI or finger-sore from jabbing their iPad in frustration will benefit from the pop-up’s ‘Computer Hand Therapy’. This deep massage releases tension built up in the hands and arms from typing away for too long.

Chiva-Som’s ‘Neck, Back and Shoulder Massage’, meanwhile, is ideal for any computer-enslaved directors who find it difficult to relax. A deep tissue massage, it involves a therapist loosening tight neck and shoulder muscles, as well as dispensing quality advice on where tension lies in your body and how to release it. And the pop-up will also offer ‘Physiotherapy’ treatments, aimed at solving any long-standing muscle problems.

We pride ourselves on our relaxing environment here at the IoD – but for one day we’re upping the ante.

To book your free treatment, click here to email confirming your IoD membership number and which treatment you would like (‘Computer Hand Therapy’, ‘Neck, Back and Shoulder Massage’ or ‘Physiotherapy’). Places are limited.
