Avoiding the avoiders


Whether it’s celebs with wily accountants or banks assisting clients to secrete money offshore, avoidance has been big news lately. It might explain why 45 per cent of the UK public, according to an Ipos Mori survey, say they’d think twice about using firms that avoid tax in Britain. “Companies are going to have to work hard to maintain their reputations,” says Helen Lamb of Ipsos Mori.
