If you've always fancied a pool, but don't want the hassle it brings, why not try a swimming pond instead?
There's little that's quite as refreshing on a summer's morning than a dip in your own swimming pool. But such a treat comes with the nuisance factor of having to clean it, which usually means lots of nasty chemicals. Now there is an alternative—swimming ponds.
Natural swimming ponds are one way of letting nature take the strain. With a deep area for swimming and a shallow area for growing plants (that keep the water naturally clean), they are also an environmentally friendly way of taking a dip. As with any pond, there'll be some maintenance, and some people will always prefer a real swimming pool. But for many, a pond is a refreshing change.
