The couple behind upmarket Bath takeaway Blackstone’s Kitchen have opened a new restaurant just across the road. Drawing on their established reputation for producing great food using fresh, local produce, Blackstone’s restaurant offers a seasonal menu of what Rebecca and Daniel Blackstone call “modern, unfussy, honest food”. Examples from the late summer menu include Cornish dressed crab with chilli, lime and mango salsa (£7.50), slow roast Moroccan lamb shoulder, roast aubergine, pomegranate, quinoa with pear and date chutney (£12.50) and blackberry, apple & lemon cobbler (£4.50).
Located in a three-storey Georgian townhouse the ground and first floors offer both individual and refectory tables, aimed at creating an open congenial atmosphere, while the second floor is split into two elegant rooms offering private dining for parties of up to 12 people.
