Ever wanted to sleep in a treehouse? Head to Hampshire and get closer to nature
Hidden just over 200 metres from elegant Chewton Glen in Hampshire and overlooking a beautiful valley, you'll find the award-winning hotel and spa's new Tree House suites.
Opening at the end of July, the 12 eco-friendly suites appear to float like lily pads across the Chewton Bunny valley, offering attractive accommodation for couples, families and groups of up to six along with the hotel's world-renowned levels of service and facilities.
Guests will be driven to the secluded treehouses in a golf buggy – a ride affording stunning views of the wooded valley, on the edge of the New Forest National Park and close to the Solent.
Sited among dense foliage for ultimate privacy, the houses stand on stilts and are linked to the ground by gangplanks. Inside, they feature floor-to-ceiling windows providing panoramic views, vaulted ceilings, galleried bunk areas for children and wood burners while outside large hardwood decks allow guests to relax in a spa bath under the stars. Breakfast hampers filled with local produce are delivered from the kitchens of Chewton Glen.
If you venture down from your suite, check out the hotel's spa, equipped with 17-metre pool, aromatherapy sauna and outdoor whirlpool. Try the Serenity Garden, which includes a body brush using rosehip and mint oils and a deep-tissue massage followed by a jasmine tea. Then retire to your suite and listen to the birds singing.
Tree House suites cost from £600 per night. The Serenity Garden treatment is £135 and lasts for 90 minutes.
