Tim Badham, founder, Innerplace
by Richard Cree

If I've learned one thing... innovate

When former Merrill Lynch banker Tim Badham set up concierge service Innerplace, the idea was a simple one: "There was a boom in private members' clubs and I wanted to help people get access to these exclusive clubs and restaurants, without having to join," he says.

While other concierge services are often generalist and offer to help with everything from plumbers to holidays, Badham's specialist approach has attracted members and several exclusive clubs, events and restaurants. But Badham says every business needs constant innovation. "It's vital to keep investing in new ideas and technology," he says. This month he launches a new website and a mobile-based Innerplace app.

"We've spent a lot of time and money getting this right. Our members are demanding and we have to offer them the best service. The app will allow them to find out what's on where they are and sign up for guest lists at exclusive clubs while they are out and about. It's a bit of fun, but it will make sure they get what they want, when they want it."
