The Guild of Travel Management Companies recently published a business travel manifesto based on a survey of 1,250 business travellers. Seventy per cent of respondents felt that a high-speed rail network should be the priority for government investment over expansion of capacity at UK airports. Sixty per cent mentioned high-speed rail when asked what sort of infrastructure would make the biggest difference.
