The American Express EMEA Business Travel Monitor Report found that UK air fares remained stable in the first three months of 2009. But it said "consistently volatile" economy fares had come under the most pressure in the economic downturn, dropping 18.6 per cent year-on-year, while business fares fell 7.1 per cent. A spokesperson said: "There are bargains to be had for buyers that know where and how to find them."
