Interior designer Kelly Hoppen, who started Kelly Hoppen Interiors at the age of 17, won the European Women of Achievement Award for Entrepreneurship last month. The author of seven design books says: "I felt honoured to win this award, having worked so hard for 26 years. I run several businesses under one hat." She doesn't think the creative industry is particularly more accommodating of innovative women than any other, preferring to attribute her inspiration to friends and family. "The jobs I am given now seem more amazing every day."
